The renovation of this Bergen Street townhouse involved the restoration of its original details back to their pure simple elegance. Many of the features including original plaster details, ornate marble fireplaces, original wideplank floors, and ornamental mouldings were salvaged and restored. The open plan layout was preserved on the ground floor with an open kitchen and large dining area, along with a family room and rear addition. The parlour floor preserved its original open flow with its double deep living and parlour areas with the use of double french doors and glass transoms. The ornamental wood stair, trim, and wainscotting in the main hall was restored. The entire space was finished in tone on tone colors of off-whites and re-finished wideplank wood floors.
